Chris’ hockey teammates, Mike McBurney, Sean Buhr and Adam Chambers have been playing hockey together for over 20 years. When Chris received an incurable diagnosis they wanted to honour him while also doing something great for their community. With the help of their men’s league team and Ice Level Source For Sports they raised $2,600 for the Richmond Minor Hockey Association (RMHA) families who might otherwise struggle to acquire costly sport equipment. The team has committed to this initiative for years to come and the RMHA has honoured #13 Chris Cayford with a specially designed patch on the Intro to Hockey jerseys.
